Teeter Totter Dogo

P1000638_1.JPG

It’s hard to tell if Corona is frightened of this childhood past time or if she just doesn’t comfortably fit on it but we tried, with all our might, to get her to sit on it alone and it just wasn’t happening.

Too distracted by everything else this Dogo Argentino didn’t seem to even want to try pose for a picture which is so unlike her.  But new friends were not too far off so we couldn’t blame her.

Maybe our next task will be to try and get her on the swings in the background.  I’m sure we can get her big butt on those but for long enough to get a picture? Who knows…

Roo Likes to Walk, Too!

This little dog is one small package of energy so when her grandmother can take her for a walk she certainly does.  Roo is often brought along with the family not only because it’s healthy for all but so that she can wear herself down without jumping.

Still young despite her gray look, Roo often keeps Corona company, or vice versa, but I’m sure Corona would much rather walk beside Roo than have her jumping on top of her.  Although patient with her you can tell when our dog has had too much and Roo’s ‘fun’ needs to stop.

With so much happening it’s been difficult to get out in a while but we are all eagerly waiting for that chance again.

On The Inside Looking Out

Corona just loves being in the car, especially when it’s moving but even when it’s not.  After a long walk around the local lake this Dogo Argentino is tired and just wanted to be out of the sun.

While we stood and talked to our walking companions, enjoying the long awaited sight of sunshine, Corona happily looked on from the back window of the vehicle.  With all the windows open the breeze was enough to finally cool her off.

Shortly after this picture was taken we just had to let her out again to play with her smaller cousin, Roo, who just gets excited about playing with another living thing!

Going on a regular walk will soon get Corona used to it so we are always looking for ways to wear her down more.  We often take her to the dog park after to let her run or just increase our laps around the lake.  Either that or we are always open for new volunteers to walk with us as she gets extremely rambunctious with visitors.

Until our next walk she simply satisfies herself with pacing around the house but it’s easier on us if we just get out and go.

Angelic Rebel

It’s not very often we let Corona get away with not behaving but seeing this sign we had to take full advantage.

She’s really not misbehaving as she is on a leash and the sign is only telling dog owners not to let their dogs off but we thought this would be too priceless an opportunity to ignore.

Enjoying the walks around a local lake, this Dogo Argentino can’t wait for the weather to warm up again so we take her for another stroll.

Like a Bridge Under Troubled Dog…

With a ‘big, scary’ dog like Corona you’d think it would be difficult to find things that scare her – it’s definitely not.

From barking at the wind to trembling as she walks over a small bridge this Dogo Argentino is timid of several different situations and yet I wouldn’t want to see what she’d do for Russ (our cat).  Their situation seems to get stranger and stranger as time progresses.

I guess we’ll just have to wait to see what Corona may come up with next to frighten her.
