Vote For My “Brother”

William, my new brother, was entered into a contest to be on the cover of a magazine!! He was only two months old when this picture was taken of him already learning to read! I’m so very proud of him.

Sending You Sammy Loved by All

In the previous post you saw Russ and me preparing to play with him; although he’s still too little to really play he’s growing bigger every day.

Wouldn’t it be awesome to have a magazine with him on it? I’m so jealous.

Always your dogo argentino,

Corona

Fill In The Blank Letters by Sarah Butland

Ok, I have to start by admitting this blog actually has nothing to do with a Dogo Argentino, Corona or our cat Russ but it’s big news for me so I thought I’d share.

I just finally went live on my second published EBook! Fill In The Blank Letters promises to give you and your child not only something to do but an easy way to light up the lives of friends and family members.

Most of my Fill In The Blank Letters are child appropriate while some are for a bit more mature audience such as teenagers. All are fun packed, literacy valued and easy to write! Just check the box, fill in the blanks with your name and who it’s to and off it goes!

Fill In The Blank Letters offer more than 45 different letters to be used to catch up, for Santa, or as reminders for things that need to get done. For just $3.00 USD you will not be disappointed!

The author of Fill In The Blank Letters is Sarah Butland who is the author of Sending You Sammy and Brain Tales – Volume One. As an emerging Canadian author she is trying her hand at everything she can to promote literacy.

Corona Is Spoiled

Corona chowing down
Corona loves going to her grandparents house (as mentioned in previous posts) and above is a big reason why. With treats being saved “just for her” it’s no wonder the little dog visitors don’t get offered something so monstrous – it’s almost as big as Corona’s head!

With an audience used to feeding their dog a rawhide that lasts for month the prediction that it would take Corona a month to get through was smashed – it took less than 30 minutes to break it in half.

Corona will always love visiting and being spoiled by Gran as long as we let her and take her home (and out a few times) afterwards.

Merry Christmas to All

The-Butlands-Christmas-Card-2008
Every year we try to out do our Christmas picture from the year before and this one has to be the simplest one yet! With pictures already taken and a picture available depicting Paul’s new love of Rock Band we were set.

Corona, Russ and I don’t have much desire to play in the band but will do whatever is necessary to make Paul happy. I just hope he doesn’t want to go on the road any time soon as that I’m not prepared to do.

So from our Rock band to your band, we are wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Years. This Dogo Argentino can’t wait to see what adventures 2009 hold for her!

Nap Time After Dog Park

This Dogo Argentino loves three things: running, sleeping and Russ although it’s sometimes not as obvious she loves our cat.

After a fun evening at the dog park, or still recovering from the evening before, Corona needs her rest and, of course, wants to be comfortable while getting it.  This pillow and blanket deal was a great combination to purchase for this Dogo and it didn’t take her long to figure out that the pillow wasn’t a toy but something to put under her head.

Now if only we could find a bed that was like the mattresses which absorb the motion of your partner so she wouldn’t be disturbed by the restless cat.
