In Memory of Chaos

Wednesday, October 26th, 2005

Chaos, the big brother to Test by adoption and not blood was an American Staffordshire Terrier that could never seem to get along with other dogs. He certainly enjoyed my husbands company as he was allowed to tackle him until he was called off.

Chaos will always be remembered as the ‘tiger’ dog that was first dog our cats had ever met. It was love at first sight for the owner but also a dog that can grow on you.

Like a storm that will always be remembered for its uniqueness and (more…)

A Test You’ll Want to Take Home!

Tuesday, October 25th, 2005

The appearance of this pooch is definitely deceiving but she was adopted as an American Staffordshire Terrier. She is commonly mistaken for Don Cherry’s dog. Test was intended as a friend to Chaos and was for a period of time.

Being the male of the clan, Chaos occasionally showed dominance over the pooch but she was often seen holding her own. Being much more sociable than her older brother, Test was taken out on numerous occasions to play with our dog.

We don’t see much of this Pit Bull anymore but we (more…)

Overall, Loki is more than you can ask for in a dog and her owners (more…)

Porter Welcomes You

Sunday, October 23rd, 2005

A Bullmastiff through and through, you may not want to be met by this Porter at your door. Being a breed that was bred in England particularly as the game keepers night dog and to throw, but not hurt, and hold any intruders.

The breed is a powerful and compact one and Porter is no exception to the line. A loyal friend to his owner as well as his dog brother and sister, introduction to an outside dog can be strained.

Our dog doesn’t seem to understand restraint as on first meet she couldn’t wait to ‘dog play’ with Porter and his crew so it was probably a good thing (more…)

Gennie, a Dog of Elegance

Saturday, October 22nd, 2005

On first introduction, Gennie is an extremely well mannered German Shorthaired Pointer. While our Dogo Argentino got acquainted with Loki and Porter, Gennie quietly observed.

A content dog in her younger years, Gennie is now finding it difficult to keep up with the younger pups. Growing up on table scraps and dog food Gennie is currently dieting and doing as much exercise as her body allows.

A good, calm friend for Corona, the friendship (more…)
